Local partnership

  1. Management and Staff Side Representatives will make every effort to continue to support, encourage and promote a partnership approach to the implementation of the new system. The agreement to work in partnership to deliver a new pay system that supports service modernisation and meets the aspirations of staff should, therefore, be replicated at all levels throughout the organisation during the lifetime of the project and in the future. More specifically, the principles of partnership working as defined in the ‘Partnership Agreement’ in Appendix 1 should be followed.

  2. To this end, the Departments should ensure that the representatives of Trade Unions and other staff organisations recognised for purposes of collective bargaining at all levels are released appropriately to participate in the partnership process and that nominated officers of local staff representatives can be fully involved in the local partnership arrangements.
