Residential training courses

Out of Pocket – Allowances

i) Manual employees who are required by their employer to attend a residential course off the Island, eg for instruction on the operation of a particular item of plant or equipment, are eligible to claim an out-of-pocket allowance as follows:

wef 1/11/2005

First 7 days £10 per day

Thereafter £7 per day

ii) the out-of-pocket allowance will be uprated in line with those applicable to Members of Tynwald and the Civil Service.

Note: Airport Firefighters are not eligible for the above allowance when they are required to attend Residential Training Courses at Teeside as there is a separate local agreement.
