This Appendix became obsolete with the introduction of the Industrial Job Evaluation and Grading Scheme (JEGS) for Manual and Craft Workers employed in Departments, Boards or Offices of Isle of Man Government
Payment for additional skills became part of the new grading structure Skill Zones.
This Appendix is retained on an interim basis for reference for Local Authorities only.

Extra payments for intermittent responsibility
With effect from the 1 April 2021 the following extra payments will apply:
The extra payments set out below apply only during actual hours of employment and are not to be taken into account for the calculation of overtime and other premium payments.
While carrying out duties specified below, an operative shall receive, during the hours he is so engaged, the payments set out:

Operatives other than craft operatives employed on dry-cleaning stone-work by mechanical process for the removal of protective material and/or discolouration (Employers to provide suitable masks) | 88p per hour above Labourers' Rate |

Extra payments for work in discomfort and inconvenience
As part of the Single Craft Agreement and with effect from the 1 April 2002 the extra payments formerly paid under this Appendix will cease to be paid.
