The Public Services Commission only recognises Prospect and Unite for collective bargaining purposes and the corollary of this is that only Prospect and Unite have a right to be a party to any formal agreements affecting the terms and conditions of service of civil servants or to seek arbitration under the Isle of Man Public Services Commission Arbitration Agreement 2015. The Commission also recognises only Prospect and Unite as representing civil servants in relation to other matters such as discipline and grievances.
