F66 – Recognised holidays
Civil servants are allowed public, bank and privilege holidays as follows:
- New Year's Day
- Good Friday
- Easter Monday
- May Day Holiday
- Spring Bank Holiday (Whit)
- Friday of TT week (in lieu of Queen's birthday)
- Tynwald Day
- Summer Bank Holiday
- Christmas Day
- St. Stephen's Day (Boxing Day)
In addition, a civil servant is allowed a privilege holiday over the Christmas and New Year period as determined by the Public Services Commission.
F67 – Part-time civil servants
Part-time civil servants should be paid for public, bank or privilege holidays for the average number of hours per day that they are contracted to work whether or not they were scheduled to attend on that day.
For the purposes of this regulation the average number of hours should be calculated as follows:
Average Weekly Hours ÷ 5 (Days) = Average daily hours
