Attendance registers


a) It is the responsibility of the Accounting Officer to ensure that a satisfactory method is established to record the times of arrival and departure of staff and this may be in the form of an attendance register or an approved flexible working hours record system.

b) An Accounting Officer may waive this requirement at their discretion for members of those grades who are not entitled to claim payment for overtime if other methods are used to record the amount of annual, sick and special leave taken.

c) For reasons of Health and Safety, the Accounting Officer should make adequate arrangements for all staff, irrelevant of grade, to sign in and out of the office accordingly.
