Mutually Agreed Resignation Scheme
The MARS Schemes have been designed specifically to:
- support periods of change
- drive for workforce efficiencies within the Public Service
- facilitate an overall reduction in staff costs
PSC MARS Scheme
The Scheme allows an individual PSC employee to leave the public service in return for a severance payment, if they choose to do so, provided they have the agreement of their Department, and the Public Services Commission, and where it can be demonstrated that there will be a long term financial saving to Government
