Attorney General's Chambers
If you’re interested in a career in law, regulatory or other public functions, to help shape the future of public services in diverse areas, we could have the job for you. The Attorney General’s Chambers covers a broad range of legal services providing advice to the Crown on contentious and non-contentious matters, a prosecutions function, International co-operation and recovery, procurement and tendering, development and drafting of primary and secondary legislation, charities, finance and IT.

What could a job within the Attorney General’s Chambers offer you?
- Be a part of a cohesive, approachable and efficient legal team actively working together to make a difference in the public service
- If you join us as a qualified legal officer you’ll have a diverse caseload within the area you work in, access to lawyers from all of the other disciplines in Chambers, and opportunities to provide legal advice to all Government bodies including the Council of Ministers, at all levels
- Other roles which don’t require legal qualifications in Chambers cover legislation development and drafting, administration, corporate services, IT, finance, data protection, regulatory and statutory functions, such as charities and mental health financial management
- We offer a competitive salary and annual leave entitlement giving credit for previous relevant experience
- An opportunity to build skills and experience in different areas – we actively encourage personal development using coaching and mentoring, and the Learning Education and Development opportunities, on the job training and external provision for other corporate areas such as data protection and health and safety at work
