LEaD design and deliver learning, education and development services that are aligned to priorities across the Isle of Man Government to ultimately help us all work together for the Isle of Man.
We are committed to our purpose which is to:
understand, identify and deliver sustainable learning to support the Isle of Man Government priorities across all areas contributing to a sustainable educated, well trained and motivated workforce
To achieve this, we work to reduce silos and improve efficiency through our team of trainers, lecturers and organisational development officers supporting a variety of qualifications such as:
- Institute of Leadership and Management Certificate qualifications from level 3 to level 7
- bespoke training to meet the needs of the public service
- support of many organisational change initiatives including vision and values
Our vision is to Inspire, Motivate and Develop public servants and we offer a wide selection of activities that will do just that – be sure to look out for the new courses that are now available and are updated regularly in our learning prospectus.

First Line Management Development Programme
Who is it for?
This programme is designed for staff working at first line management level, who are looking to develop their managerial and leadership capability.
What will you learn?
The course explores self-awareness, team development, motivation, coaching and provides practical management tools which you can use in the workplace. The programme offers an opportunity for you to discuss the leadership challenges that you’re currently facing and how you are able to overcome these.
What will you do?
You can either attend full-time option consisting of three 2-day modules or a part-time programme is now also available for those who require it, comprising 10 half days and an 11th full day.
Participants also attend four half-day Action Learning Sets which build on the learning in the modules and help them to develop their own leadership capability back in the workplace.
There is an option for individuals to gain an ILM Level 3 Award in Leadership.
